Red-Eyed Tree Frog
Amphibians can be found all around us, I bet you’ve seen frogs or toads near you. Have you ever held one or touched one?
Well today we are zooming in on Red-Eyed Tree Frogs. These amazing amphibians can be found in Central America and just like the Sloth we learned about the other day, they live in the rainforest.
Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are so beautiful that their name actually means “beautiful tree nymph.” They are very good at camouflage. During the day they tuck their brightly colored limbs under their green bodies and close their red eyes. When they do this, they blend into the leaves around them.

Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are nocturnal, which means they are awake at night. When they search for insects to eat at night, their amazing red eyes and sticky long tongues help them catch enough to eat.
